Overview

The Children’s Hospital of Illinois Orthopedics and Adult Orthopedics are seeking a full time nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our team.  This position will assist with both pediatric and adult orthopedics patients. 

 

The candidate must maintain state license as an APN/PA in the state of Illinois and professional certifications (APLS, ENPC, or PALS). Certification as an acute care specialty nurse practitioner or physician assistant through a nationally recognized certifying body is required.  For APN’s, surgical assist certification will be required after completion of training program.

 

The position involves close collaboration with our Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeons within the hospital, clinic and OR settings.  Will assist with Adult Orthopedic patients in the OR and inpatient settings as well.  The ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedics or a willingness to learn the subspecialty.

 

Strong communication skills required. Communication by this position will bridge inpatient/emergency department care with ambulatory care to promote a complete and cohesive care plan.

  • Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $60.39-73.68
    • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed to provide Advanced Practice Nurse Services or Physician Assistant Services Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
