Nurse Practitioner Neurology

St. Jude Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in Neurology to join their team in Fullerton, California. This is a blended position supporting both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Nurse Practitioner will work independently while also collaborating closely with two Neurology physicians in a team-oriented and highly collaborative environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a supportive team and provide exceptional care in a dynamic setting. The NP will be an integral part of the St Jude Stroke Program and will be expected to provide the following services:

• Attend emergency department and inpatient level 1 and level 2 code strokes
• Facilitate administration of TNK and patient transfer to NIR suite for thrombectomy
• Inpatient rounding on all admitted stroke/TIA/ICH patients
• Provide inpatient stroke education, including nursing staff education regarding IV thrombolytic and performing focused neurological exams
• Help with Cerebrovascular clinic patients
• Ensure best practice and stroke quality measures are met
• Review all thrombolytic and thrombectomy cases for delays and complications; partnering with the stroke coordinator
• Ensure quality improvement and compliance with Joint Commission requirements for Comprehensive Stroke redesignation
• Full time position
• Inpatient and Outpatient Care
• Monday to Friday schedule (8 hour shifts)
• At least 2 years of experience required
• Preferred experience in the specialty of Neurology
• Compensation is between $143,734 and $184,063 per year
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, a CME allowance and other benefits offered by the medical group. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above
