Established in 1957, Southeast Health is one of Alabama's largest not-for-profit tertiary referral centers.  We serve over 600,000 in a 75-mile radius with 2,800 dedicated employees and 400+ active Medical Staff.

  • Region's only health system offering TAVR and Watchman procedures
  • The Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) is Alabama’s first osteopathic medical school and the first in the U.S. to be developed by a regional medical center. Annual class size of 210 students.
  • An ACGME Internal Medicine Residency program began July 2018 with an inaugural class of 13 residents.
