Nov 19, 2010: PracticeMatch to Hold Annual Conference

The 2011 PracticeMatch Recruiters’ Conference, held March 13-16 in New Orleans, La., will provide in-house physician recruiters with various learning opportunities, a local physician career fair, and valuable networking events.

“In-house physician recruiters will benefit greatly by attending this conference,” said Lisa Rimmert, director of marketing for PracticeMatch. “We have designed educational sessions to address the specific challenges that in-house physician recruiters currently face.” Topics include healthcare reform, the future of Hospitalists, legal issues to be aware of, technology tools for recruitment, and much more. The conference will feature presentations by some of the country’s most respected in-house recruiters, as well as physicians from renowned institutions like Mayo Clinic. “The conference is packed with important information that attendees can take back to their organizations and use every day,” said Rimmert.

The Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR) will hold its 101 and 201 Fellowship Modules in conjunction with the conference. ASPR is a professional organization comprised of more than 1,000 in-house physician recruitment professionals. The organization serves to provide professional development to its members and offers in-house physician recruiters a professional designation via its fellowship program. The ASPR Fellowship Program encompasses knowledge and skills from varied disciplines including medical practice management, human resources, law, marketing, and business.

In addition to providing professional development and educational opportunities, the 2011 PracticeMatch Recruiters’ Conference also offers in-house recruiters the opportunity to attend the PracticeMatch Physician Career Fair. Graduating and practicing physicians will be invited to the fair to speak with in-house physician recruiters about career opportunities nationwide.
