Oct 10, 2011: PracticeMatch Reengineers Industry-Leading Physician Search Tool

On October 10, PracticeMatch will release an extensively overhauled version of its physician database and search tool. The database is used by hundreds of health care organizations to seek out and recruit qualified physicians, including residents and fellows entering the workforce, as well as practicing physicians seeking employment.

“Our new database and search tools now offer simpler yet far more flexible search options, including access to several new fields of information, as well as an updated and more user-friendly interface,” said Tim Raster, vice president of information technology for PracticeMatch. "The enhanced system provides such new features as real-time search counts, more powerful search options for geographic preferences and ties, enhanced training program search abilities, keyword searching, and more. This is all in addition to previous options such as specialty, licensing, practice preferences, and numerous other fields, which our clients have always enjoyed,” Raster said.

“For more than 20 years,” said Charlie Holland, president of PracticeMatch, “our goal has been to provide hospitals and health care groups the tools necessary to find quality physicians to fill needs within their communities.” He continued, “With the looming national physician shortage, we are proud to provide such powerful and easy-to-use tools to help our clients succeed.”
