Jun 30, 2011 PracticeMatch Hosts Physician Career Fairs

Saint Louis, MO—PracticeMatch, based in Saint Louis, Mo., announces it will host physician career fairs as a new service to connect physicians with potential employers. These events will enable physicians in all specialties and levels of training to speak face-to-face with representatives from some of the nation’s leading healthcare organizations.

Leslie Thompson, program relations specialist for PracticeMatch, says the goal of these events is to assist physicians in planning the next stage of their careers. She says, “We at PracticeMatch care about connecting physicians with quality employers. We’re excited to add this new service to further support the healthcare industry.”

“With only in-house physician recruiters exhibiting,” Thompson says, “physicians can trust that they’re speaking with experts.” In-house physician recruiters work directly for hospitals and practice groups. “In-house physician recruiters,” says Thompson, “tend to put more priority on finding doctors whose experience, education, and personal preferences closely match the needs of the organization, ensuring a mutually satisfying experience for both the physicians and employers.”

The first fair will be held at Washington University’s Eric P. Newman Education Center in Saint Louis, Mo. Wednesday, July 27 from 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Physicians in attendance will enjoy free hors d’oeuvres and raffle prize drawings. To register, physicians may visit www.practicematch.com/careerfairs. To learn more, they may contact Leslie Thompson by calling toll-free to 800-489-1440 or by emailing careerfairs@practicematch.com.
