With more than 1.3 million annual connections with kids and families statewide, Children’s provides a wide range of care and support — everything from routine care to lifesaving advances and treatment options, foster care and adoption services, child advocacy, and provides an insurance plan.

Children’s and its joint venture with the Medical College of Wisconsin – the Children’s Specialty Group (CSG) - are the largest providers of pediatric healthcare in the state, serving the children and families of Wisconsin with the highest level of care through their American College of Surgeons Level I Children’s Surgery Verification Center, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence, 72-bed Level IV NICU, Level IV Epilepsy Center, and a 72-bed PICU. In 2021-2022, CW and CSG had six specialties ranked by US News & World Report: cancer; cardiology and heart surgery; gastroenterology and GI surgery; neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; and pulmonology.  With over 70 specialties and 675 providers, CSG providers had 220,000 outpatient visits at 13 regional care sites, 67,000 emergency department/trauma center visits, and over 9,000 admissions.

About Northeast Wisconsin

The Northeast Wisconsin region features Fortune 500 companies, growing communities, colleges, accessible and award-winning healthcare, performing arts and live music, professional sports (NFL) and abundant recreational opportunities. It includes the Fox Cities, which are 19 communities along the Fox River in East Central Wisconsin, as well as the greater Green Bay area and Door County.

The Fox Cities are easily accessible located along Interstate 41 and Hwy 10. As one of the state's fastest growing areas with about 250,000 residents, these communities offer a thriving metropolitan area closely surrounded by incredible natural beauty. Each community of the Fox Cities brings its own special history and personality, making the area a unique blend of urban style and small town warmth. Appleton has been named a best place to raise kids, while Oshkosh has been named a best city for working parents.

Outdoor activities, historical landmarks and fun sporting events are all hallmarks of the greater Green Bay area. Situated on the banks of the Bay and Fox River, Green Bay is Wisconsin’s oldest settlement, founded in the 17th century. It is a top destination for outdoor recreation and is home to the Green Bay Packers professional football team.

Door County is located on a peninsula between Green Bay and Lake Michigan and is often referred to as the “Cape Cod of the Midwest.” It is known for its picturesque coastal towns, specialty shops, fish boils, cherry and apple orchards and scenic beauty.
