The Department of Head & Neck Surgery at Deaconess Clinic and Deaconess Cancer Center is seeking an outstanding Head & Neck surgeon to assist in the build of the first Head & Neck Cancer Program at Deaconess. The ideal candidate would be a BC/BE physician who has completed an approved Head & Neck fellowship with 3+ years of experience who is comfortable leading a multidisciplinary group of providers in developing and executing treatment plans for H&N cancer patients. He or she would work alongside another Head & Neck surgeon and service line leadership to develop clinical protocols that will ensure high quality of care and better outcomes for the patients. Research experience is preferred with an opportunity to open clinical trials pertinent to H&N cancers.
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week and includes an inpatient and outpatient practice. Call coverage will be determined on a per surgeon basis. Teaching opportunities available at IU Medical School Evansville. You will have an opportunity to invest in the Evansville Surgery Center, a joint venture with Deaconess and community surgeons. Fully implemented Epic electronic medical record for inpatient and outpatient. As an employee of Deaconess Clinic, you will experience a competitive salary ($525K base salary guaranteed for first 12 months, plus a sign on bonus ($100K for experienced H&N Surgeon or $50K for H&N Surgeon with less than 3 years’ experience)) and a comprehensive benefits package. A stipend during training for current Fellows is also possible.
