Pediatric Neuropsychologist
The Division of Neurology at Children’s Mercy Kansas City is recruiting for a pediatric neuropsychologist. Primary responsibilities include assessment of patients in our comprehensive epilepsy surgery program. The Comprehensive Epilepsy Center offers multidisciplinary clinical support to pediatric patients with epilepsy and seizure disorders. Our program is recognized by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers as a Level IV Center, the highest obtainable level in epileptic care. Other responsibilities will include assessing patients referred from the division of neurosurgery for a variety of conditions as well as patients referred from the division of cardiology through the cardiac neurodevelopmental program. Opportunities for developing other collaborations are also available.
The position will also include teaching and supervising students in the in the hospital’s pediatric medical residency, Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology member postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology, and/or psychology practicum programs. We encourage faculty to engage in scholarly activity, including participation in ongoing research, initiating new research endeavors, and program development. The position carries an academic appointment at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, with rank commensurate to qualifications and experience.
Applicants must have postdoctoral training in neuropsychology, adhering to Houston Guidelines, a PhD (or equivalent) in clinical psychology, pediatric psychology, or child clinical psychology, experience working on multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary teams, and eligibility for licensure in Missouri and Kansas.
