The Department of Orthopedic Surgery & Musculoskeletal Science is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained pediatric orthopaedic surgeon to join our Section of Spine Surgery. The successful candidate should be board certified in Orthopedic Surgery with a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery and training in spinal surgery, and possess excellent surgical, clinical, and academic skills. The applicant should be eligible for medical licensure in the States of Missouri and Kansas. The candidate will be expected to take general orthopedic call and spine call. The Section of Spine Surgery is well established within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Science with a robust and growing clinical practice. Members of the section have integral involvement with broad multidisciplinary care and manage a wide range of pediatric and adolescent spinal disorders including deformity, spondylolysis/listhesis, trauma, tumors, cervical spine disorders, disc herniations, and infections. The pediatric spine program is currently supported by 2 full time surgeons who manage a high-volume spine surgery service with a large referral base and enjoys a collaborative relationship with the Section of Pediatric Neurosurgery. The Department of Orthopedic Surgery & Musculoskeletal Science includes 12 full time pediatric orthopaedic surgeons and 4 non-surgical pediatric orthopaedic specialists and includes the section of hand surgery, spine surgery, and sports medicine.
