Responsibilities:

Continued development of the current Heart Failure Clinics to improve access and extend the scope of services to identify patients at risk for mortality, hospital readmission, and other adverse events to ensure appropriate evidence based medical and device therapies are provided. Function as a collaborative physician team member within the comprehensive inpatient Heart Failure service including consultative, diagnostic and treatment for high risk hospitalized patients. Identification and evaluation of patients for LVAD candidacy including destination therapy and bridge to transplantation along with coordination of care with neighboring transplantation centers as appropriate.

Do you have what it takes?

  1. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology.
  2. 3-5 years of a clinical and administrative/leadership responsibilities
  3. Contemporary experience with management of patients on mechanical circulatory support.
  4. Leadership opportunity with .8 Clinical and .2 Administrative allocation
  5. Possess outstanding communication skills and able to network with referring physicians
  6. Functions appropriately as part of care delivery team through efficient use of resources and skills, both their own and those of other provider and staff
  7. Actively participates in multi-disciplinary team approach (oversight of advanced practitioners)
  8. Pushes envelope to incorporate the latest technology available to streamline services
