Duties: The Staff Physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cleveland Clinic provides clinical services in obstetrics and gynecology at Main Campus (9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44195), Fairview Hospital (18101 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111), Westlake Medical Campus (850 Columbia Road, Westlake, Ohio 44145), and Lakewood Medical Building (450 Bell Ave, Suite 300, Lakewood, Ohio, 44107). The Staff Physician examines, diagnoses, and treats patients with gynecological disorders such as abnormal bleeding, chronic pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, loss of bladder control, pelvic floor disorders, and problems with pelvic support; screens for sexually transmitted infections; counsels and guides on contraception methods and family planning; and provides pre-natal, childbirth, and post-natal care to women. The Staff Physician also performs surgical procedures related to gynecology and obstetrics, such as hysterectomies, ovarian surgeries, and tubal ligations, and conducts minimally invasive procedures, such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Additional duties include conducting research, authoring scholarly articles, and presenting at national or international conferences in obstetrics and gynecology. On call duties, as assigned.
Requirements: At a minimum, the position requires: MD, DO, or foreign equivalent as determined by credentials evaluation or as evidenced by an ECFMG certificate, completion of a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience ($373,275.00 per year)
