Henry Ford St. John Hospital is seeking a Developmental Pediatrician to join our Department of Pediatrics. This role specializes in outpatient care within a developmental pediatrics setting, with opportunities to provide comprehensive inpatient consultations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in developmental and behavioral disorders, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patient-centered care.


Position Highlights

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient consultations for pediatric developmental and behavioral disorders.
  • Conduct mental health screenings, assessments, and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Coordinate discharge planning with case management teams.
  • Accept and manage patient referrals, acting as admitting, attending, or consulting physician as needed.
  • Participate in academic programs such as medical education and research.
  • Ensure proper documentation to meet insurance requirements and address denials in a timely manner.
  • Participate in on-call schedules and multidisciplinary consultations.

Qualifications

  • Required:

    • MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority from the Michigan Board of Medicine (prior to hire).
    • Completion of a Pediatric Residency Program.
    • Completion of a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship Program.
    • Board Certification in Pediatrics.
  • Preferred:

    • Advanced Life Support (AHA certification).
