About the Role

Henry Ford Providence Hospitals (formerly Ascension Providence), part of the Henry Ford Health Joint Venture, is seeking an experienced Program Director to lead the fully accredited OB/GYN Residency Program across its Southfield and Novi campuses.

This role offers the opportunity to oversee and enhance a thriving residency program in a dynamic environment supported by robust institutional affiliations and an engaged team of educators and clinicians.


Program and Department Highlights

    • Two campuses (Southfield & Novi) with a combined 565 patient beds serving patients across three counties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to ACGME program requirements.
    • Develop and implement policies for resident selection, evaluation, promotion, and disciplinary action.
  • Educational Oversight:
    • Supervise didactic and clinical education across training sites.
    • Approve and evaluate program faculty participation.
  • Research and Development:
    • Advance scholarly activities for faculty and trainees.
    • Organize faculty development and continuing education for OB/GYN physicians.
  • Collaboration and Quality Improvement:
    • Foster communication and alignment among private practice and employed physician groups.
    • Participate in the Henry Ford Providence Hospital GME Committee.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • MD/DO, board-certified in OB/GYN.
    • Eligible for Michigan medical licensure.
    • At least 5 years’ experience as OB/GYN teaching faculty.
    • Demonstrated excellence in patient care, teaching, and clinical research.
  • Preferred:
    • Previous experience as a Program Director or Associate Program Director.
    • Strong track record in research, publications, and mentoring.
    • Eligibility for clinical faculty appointment.
