Medical students who declare their intent to practice as a health professional in a designated shortage area within the state of New Mexico, are a resident of New Mexico, and are accepted for the University of New Mexico School of Medicine are eligible.
The application opens every year on May 15th and closes on July 1st.
The award is no more than $25,000 a year and is renewable for up to four years if an application is submitted each year. Learn more
