Your Role:
As a School Psychologist, you'll have the chance to positively shape students' lives in Federal Heights. Working alongside educators, families, and peers, you'll offer vital assistance to nurture academic achievement and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to pinpoint student strengths and areas for growth
- Craft and execute evidence-based interventions and support strategies to tackle academic, behavioral, and emotional hurdles
- Provide direct and indirect services to around 30 students
- Collaborate with social workers to integrate mental health minutes into students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Navigate primarily Specific Learning Disability cases among students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and stakeholders to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Offer counseling and crisis intervention support to bolster students' mental health
- Actively engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to crafting IEPs and educational plans
- Stay abreast of the latest best practices in school psychology to elevate services and programs
Qualifications:
- Possess an active Psychologist license/certification in Colorado
- Ability to undergo fingerprinting through the district (can commence while awaiting school approval)
- Provide 2-3 reference checks
