We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist - Associate to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. This role is essential in supporting our urgent care and emergency medicine departments, particularly within a Level II Trauma Center environment.
* Part-Time
* 2 - 12 hour Weekend shifts + 2 - 8 hour shifts during week on variable days
*Duties*
* Operates and maintains x-ray equipment and takes x-rays of various portions of the body as ordered by the provider while practicing radiation protection techniques at all times.
* Prepares patients for x-ray by administering drugs or chemical mixtures orally or intravenously; transfers.
* Assists patient as needed to include transferring, positioning and providing instructions regarding the procedure.
* Selects appropriate imaging parameters and operates console and peripheral hardware e.g. stands, positioning device, and any other devices/equipment used in radiology.
* Performs quality assurance on radiographs for optimal imaging; places service calls on equipment as needed.
* Maintains exam room cleanliness and stocks supplies.
*Experience*
* Able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge and skill necessary to provide care and imaging to pediatric adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
EDUCATION:
* Associate's of Applied Science Degree, or the successful completion of an approved two-year (2) program in radiologic technology is required.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION:
* ARRT certification, or eligibility for registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
EXPERIENCE
* 1 year minimum
* Self-motivated and directed.
* Ability to absorb and incorporate new ideas, concepts and processes quickly.
* Comfortable working with computers and large pieces of technological equipment.
* Must be able to work in a fast pace and high volume environment.
* Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
