Before NCLEX Test and Licensure:
Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of an RN or LPN/LVN. Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, and comfort, and assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients.
Additional skills may be allowed after completing skills evaluation through the Nurse Residency Program.
Upon Successful Passing of NCLEX and Licensure:
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care and supervising the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff members. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization's mission.
Shift/Schedule:
Day shift and night shift opportunities.
Full-Time: 72 hours per pay with weekend rotation
Part-Time: 48 hours per pay with weekend rotation

Requirements:
Department-specific certifications including BLS and ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire. This will be provided as part of the Nurse Residency Program.
Recent RN graduate or nearing completion of RN program.
Willing to work in a MedSurg unit for a 12-month residency unless approved by Nursing Leadership.
