Description:
This position provides radiographic examinations on all age groups served by the entity, including CT examinations based on the scope of the Urgent Care, Express Care and/or outpatient department practice. Ensures quality radiographs and CT exams to include both PO and IV contrast, follows radiation protection standards. Is a key team care member who supports the overall patient flow experience. Participates in the departmental continuous quality improvement process, including audits and documentation. Ensures customer satisfaction and appropriateness of care for all assigned patients. This position must support outpatient department (Urgent Care, Express Care, etc) workflow such as quick registration, front desk duties including POS collections, phlebotomy, EKG, vitals, and other duties as assigned and supported by scope of practice. Supports all regulatory standards, National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Precautions, Infection Control Guidelines, patient and employee safety principles and HIPPA policies.
Qualifications:
Degrees:
Associates.
Licenses & Certifications:
Basic Life Support.
Certified Radiologic Technologist.
ARRT Registered Technologist - Radiography.
Additional Qualifications:
Associate of Science.
Graduate of an approved AMA Council on Education Program in Radiologic Technology.
Must be competent to perform both Radiologic and CT studies.
Must maintain licensure/certifications throughout their employment.
Six months experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Recent graduates may be considered.
CT experience is preferred.
Must be competent in skills such as vitals, phlebotomy, EKG, front desk duties including quick registration.
Change agility and flexibility a must.
