DEFINITION: The Director of Quality Services is a member of the administrative team who participates in decision making, policy determination, and planning and operations of the hospital. He/she is responsible for management of Quality Assurance and Risk Management. He/she develops, manages, and coordinates the hospital wide Performance Improvement Committee. The fundamental components of the programs include measuring performance through data collection, assessing current performance and improving performance.
The Director of Quality Services must have the knowledge of current approaches to developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective, on-going hospital-wide, data-driven quality assessment, performance improvement and risk management. The Director is accountable to the Chief Nursing Officer and works in a collaborative manner with the directors from each department to provide support related to improving patient care in an efficient manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field, Masters degree preferred, Registered Nurse with current licensure in the state of Oklahoma, three to five years experience in Quality Assurance and clinical experience in an acute care setting. This individual will have excellent writing and communication skills, be proficient in related computer programs and at all times work toward the mission and goals of MCBOH. This individual reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION: Masters Degree preferred.
