Pharmacy Manager - Retail/Specialty
Position Highlights:
Direct development, implementation, support, and evaluation of outpatient and ambulatory pharmaceutical care to meet the needs of patients and caregivers. Manage selection, orientation, training, development, and performance evaluation of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy financial counselors, and pharmacy interns. Work in close cooperation with other departmental managers. Demonstrate, by actions and decisions, a dedication to continuous quality improvement while contributing to a successful and productive team environment. Actively participate in the departmental strategic planning process providing leadership and insight in the provision of patient-focused services for their areas. Prepare and monitor the financial budget for assigned areas. Uphold the standards of the system-wide customer service program.

Pharmacy Manager - Retail/Specialty:
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills required.
Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Preferred Qualifications:
Pharmacist experience within Nebraska Medicine preferred.
Previous work experience in a leadership role preferred.
American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency strongly preferred or equivalent of two years of experience preferred.
American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year two residency as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice or equivalent of three additional years of experience preferred.
Demonstrate excellence in clinical areas as displayed by ability to consistently and completely meet and contribute to updating standards of practice preferred.
Demonstrate excellence in training undergraduate students, residents, pharmacy technicians, patient financial counselors, and pharmacists.
Knowledge of various computerized and mechanical devices as necessary for product preparation and dispensing (e.g., retail pharmacy management systems, point of sale systems, IVR systems, web site resources, general compounding, laminar air flow hoods, safety cabinets, etc.) preferred.
Experience in design and planning of new pharmacy spaces preferred.
Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred.
