Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
SIGN-ON BONUS: up to $3,000 for full time, $1,500 for part time
SHIFT: Full-Time and Part Time, Days and Evenings
JOB DESCRIPTION:
An LPN promotes the residents' health, wellness and illness prevention through daily nursing and personal care endeavors. An LPN works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and handles a diverse range of tasks including administering treatment or medications, performing clinical procedures and documenting the clinical data of patients, among other duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures the care and safety of all residents in the nursing unit
Ensures that individual care plans are followed
Administers and documents medications, treatments, and other nursing services
Makes a count of controlled substances on the assigned nursing unit
Records current condition of assigned resident in EMR
Receives and gives an accurate report of the resident condition at shift change
Communicates to the nursing team and medical provider as indicated and required
Assists in the orientation of new staff
Maintains competency in all the tasks needed by CMS
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 18 years of age
New York State Licensed Practical Nurse licensure (LPN)
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic computer knowledge, PCC e-MAR experience preferred
Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
