Summary:
Individual will function as a team member providing care and transportation to pediatric and neonatal patients via ground ambulance, helicopter, and fixed wing aircraft. Will maintain the readiness of equipment, availability of supplies, and complete related paperwork. The successful candidate should have the desire to expand their knowledge of pediatric and neonatal patients and be able to apply that knowledge in the transport environment. They should be self motivated, highly organized, have strong customer service and communication skills, and have the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
Education and Experience:
Pre-hire qualifications require a minimum of three years ALS experience for flight paramedics and three years clinical experience for an EMT-P/LP and a plan to assess and document the competency and proficiency of the provider to perform in the critical care medical transport environment
Certification/Licensure:
Current Texas Certification or Licensure as a Paramedic. Current CPR certification
Valid Texas Drivers License and Auto Liability Insurance
ACLS Certification, PALS Certification, NRP Certification, and Stable Certification (within 90 days of employment and maintain)
TNCC (audit within 6 months of employment, every 4 years thereafter)
Advanced Certification (FP-C, CCEMTP, C-NPT or TP-C) within 2 years
Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (during orientation, every 3 years thereafter).
