About Valleywise Health

Valleywise Health is the Phoenix area’s only public teaching health system. We are governed by a publicly elected Board of Directors focused on exceptional care for all who turn to Valleywise Health.

Valleywise Health was established in 1877 as a place to care for the sick in the rapidly-growing area of Maricopa County. Since then, we’ve continued to provide exceptional care to the people of Arizona.

In addition to our general service offerings (including dental care and behavioral health care) this location also serves as an HIV specialty clinic. We want to help all people around the Valley live long and happy lives, no matter what their HIV status is. Valleywise Community Health Center – McDowell is here to offer complete support and specialized care.

Additional Services

• Primary outpatient medical care provided on-site, including prevention, early intervention, and outpatient treatment to those at risk of or infected with HIV/AIDS
• Assessment, planning and coordination of care for HIV/AIDS patients

These services include preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and long-term care.
