ABOUT THE FACILITY

St. Peter’s Health Partners, the region’s largest private-sector employer, with more than 12,500 employees, has more than 125 locations across seven counties. The system has an annual budget of nearly $1.1 billion. St. Peter’s Health Partners was created on October 1, 2011 by the merger of Northeast Health, St. Peter’s Health Care Services, and Seton Health. The merger created the region’s largest and most comprehensive not-for-profit network of high-quality and advanced medical care, primary care, rehabilitation, and senior services.

These state-of-the-art services and programs are provided through Albany Memorial and St. Peter’s Hospitals in Albany, NY; Samaritan and St. Mary’s Hospitals in Troy, NY; Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady, NY; and The Eddy system of continuing care and The Community Hospice.

Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, founded in 1928, is a 115-bed hospital specializing in physical rehabilitation. Every year, more than 15,000 individuals come to Sunnyview from across the Capital Region of New York State and beyond. Each one has a dedicated team of physicians, nurses, therapists and specialists ... all focused on one goal ... taking back what was stolen by a stroke, traumatic injury or disabling illness. Sunnyview offers program in neuro-rehab, spinal cord injury, brain injury, ventilator weaning programs, aquatic therapy, orthopedic rehab, hearing services, cardiopulmonary rehab, and wellness programs.

Sunnyview is CARF accredited, the only CARF accredited program in the region. We have enjoyed continuous accreditation for 30 years. Our team of PM&R physicians is part of a multidisciplinary team that provides treatment right onsite at the hospital. It includes physicians, advanced practitioners, therapists, and certified professionals in several areas.
