About Sioux Falls

Recreation

Sioux Falls has opportunities for everyone. Sioux Falls is the host to SF Spitfire Soccer, SF Stampede Hockey, SF Skyforce Basketball, Sioux Falls Storm Football, Sioux Falls Canaries Baseball and many other college/university and high school sporting events. The Sioux Falls Bike Trail offers more than 19 miles of paved trails for those who enjoy walking, running, biking, and roller-blading.  The Sioux Falls area has a multitude of public parks throughout the city, many with additional recreation opportunities as well as public picnic areas.

Downtown Sioux Falls is today’s vibrant city core!  It’s ‘rebirth’ now includes more restaurants, boutiques, breweries, coffee shops, Falls Park Farmer’s Market (seasonal), the Sculpture Walk along Phillips Ave, the Orpheum Theatre and the restored State Theatre.  The Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science is the region’s home for the arts, entertainment and science.  Broadway shows, interactive science exhibits and the Wells Fargo CineDome are just a few of what it has to offer.  The beautiful Falls Park is a ‘must see’ and right along the popular bike trail.  Continuous expansion is planned with the Steel District which will include more living options, restaurants, boutiques and business opportunities.
