PRACTICE SETTING

Sanford Clinic Valley City is conveniently attached to Mercy Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital. Sanford's group practice currently includes 3 family medicine physicians, 1 internal medicine physician, and 3 physician assistants as well as a dedicated team of support staff. Lab, X-Ray and a full menu of occupational medicine services are available on site.

For the convenience of patients, frequent outreach services in a variety of specialties are provided from Fargo. Providers also have ready access to telephone consults and/or referrals to Sanford Health specialists in Fargo. Sanford Health physicians assist with call to the hospital’s medical/surgical unit during the week and about half of the weekends with the other weekends being covered by a contract service through the hospital.

Mercy Hospital services include emergency room services, medical/surgical and swing bed admissions, as well as a variety of outpatient offerings. These include radiology services (CT, MRI, mammography, DEXA scans, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy), a cardiac rehabilitation program, outpatient infusions, physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, stress testing, pulmonary function testing, outpatient surgeries, and a pain clinic.
