PGH is a 123-bed psychiatric facility that serves individuals over the age of 65. We are operated by the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and have been awarded the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. We are dedicated to providing outstanding treatment and improving our patient’s health and quality of life. PGH is located in rural Nottoway County, Virginia. Nottoway County contains the towns of Burkeville, Crewe, and Blackstone. The estimated population in 2016 was 15,595. Nottoway County is situated south of the James River, thus making it a part of the Southside Virginia Region. We are located within a reasonable distance to shopping and entertainment in the metro Richmond area, the Town of Farmville, and the City of Lynchburg.
