In 1923 the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace opened the Little Flower Hospital in Ketchikan. It was named after Saint Teresa, who proclaimed herself “a little flower in God’s garden.” PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center, a critical access hospital, collaborates with the city to maintain and expand services including a large medical group, laboratory, expanded pharmacy and a number of centers of excellence.
