Cypress is located only twenty-five (25) miles from downtown Houston along highway 290.  This high growth area is known for its numerous golf courses and is also home to one of the fastest growing school districts in the U.S.  In the 1980's, large scale residential and commercial development transformed the once rural area into one of Houston's largest and fastest growing communities.
