Lawnwood Regional Medical Center provides the only level II Trauma Center and level III NICU in the area. It is comprised of seven Labor/Delivery/Recovery suites with an operating room on the unit so patients needing a caesarean section can be cared for by the same caring and professional Labor and Delivery staff. The NICU is a 10-bed unit caring for babies over 1,000 grams. There is always a Board-Certified Neonatologist on-site, all Registered Nurses are certified in neonatal resuscitation, and the addition of the OBHG hospitalist program provides an additional safety net for patients and local providers.
