Children's Minnesota

The Kid Experts

About Children’s Minnesota:  Children’s Minnesota is a nationally recognized, acute care system offering a full spectrum of pediatric and adolescent subspecialty services across two campuses and multiple clinic sites. Children's Minnesota is home to a Level 1 verified pediatric surgical program and a busy Level 1 Trauma Center -- the only trauma center in Minnesota dedicated exclusively to pediatrics. We handle the routine to the highest complexity conditions from primary to quaternary, from preventative care to heart transplants, from fetal surgery to young adult cancers. We are supported by our nationally recognized pain, palliative and integrative medicine team, our Everyday Ethics program and a host of wrap around services to support your patients.

What our kid experts have to say:

“Children's Minnesota is a unique and fabulous place to work. This is a mission driven organization with a commitment to ensuring the best patient outcomes, the best patient experience in an equitable and inclusive environment. Providers who choose to work at Children's Minnesota do so because they are committed not only to the patient but also to support each other.” – Susan Kearney, MD, Medical Director of the Division of Hematology and Oncology

“I've been at Children's MN since 1998. In a previous position, the pediatric enterprise was a small part of a large, mostly adult-focused organization. I am grateful every day to be at the only freestanding, independent pediatric health system in the region. Everyone here is focused on kids, and it shows in everything we do. While our main focus is excellent clinical care, we provide a unique environment in which research, education and leadership opportunities are available to anyone, but are not held as an expectation for everyone. This allows remarkable latitude for individuals to forge a career path based on personal interest and passion.”
