We’re delighted you’ve chosen Kress Birthing Center to celebrate your pregnancy and the birth of your baby. We’re committed to providing you with the best, safest and most comfortable birth possible. We’ll work with you to tailor your care and delivery plans to make it a satisfying experience for you, and our newly renovated Marguerite Kress Birthing Center is built around the needs of new mothers who want a soothing, home-like environment during labor. 

Our maternity unity was recently renovated in 2023 to include many new amenities and enhancements for our families, including:

• More overall space for Mom, baby and others
• Tubs for patient comfort during labor
• Stylish, sliding barn doors, adding privacy for significant others during overnight stays
• New desk for maternal or significant other use
• Updated guest lounge including tables and chairs for visitor meals and overall comfort
• Upgraded, warm lighting and flooring showcasing a more modern look/feel
• New, nature-themed artwork creating a relaxing atmosphere

We offer tours of our maternity unit, and those can be scheduled in person at the front desk of your Bellin Health obstetrics clinic or by calling our team. 

The Most Advanced NICU Design in America  

The research shows what nature knows — moms and babies belong together. We are proud of our family-integrated Belmark Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where mom can stay right by baby's side in one of our private suites while experiencing the full embrace of exceptional care. This early bonding leads to healthier development, increased rates of successful breastfeeding, decreased rates of postpartum depression and overall shorter hospital stays.
