Urgent Care - Nurse Practitioner, Shawnee, Ok (Harrison)

SSM Health is seeking an urgent care nurse practitioner to practice in Shawnee, OK.

Urgent Care Clinic Information:

• Monday - Friday * 7a - 7p
• Saturday - Sunday * 9a - 5p
• Work two weekends/month
• Closed 3 days/year (Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year)
• See an average of 25 patients per provider daily; numbers tend to increase during winter months.
• Schedules rotate between shifts with 5 providers; they self-schedule to ensure clinic hours are covered at all times with 2-3 providers per shift
• Schedule is set 60-90 days in advance
• Onsite imagery and lab
• Collaborative Team
• Supportive Leadership

This clinic sees acute care patients for illness and injury. It also treats patients with multiple chronic co-morbidities with acute illnesses such as COVID-19, flu, and pneumonia. A successful provider will also need to perform procedures such as suturing, I&D, foreign body removal, splinting/casting, and interpreting X-rays.
