Job Summary

Practice address: 2603 Kentucky Avenue, Suite 402, Paducah, KY 42003

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • rounding on all in-patient patients
  • charting, putting in orders, discharge orders
  • seeing consults and ED visits (approx. 5-10 consults a day)
  • call required (during shift)
  • 30 hours a week (three, 10-hour shifts; Fri. Sat. Sun.) 

This position will work with an established group of 3 Neurosurgeons and onsite training/shadowing for the first month will be offered prior to seeing patients. Patient population includes ages 4 years and older. 

 

 

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of accredited APC program. Terminal degree in APC field preferred.
  • National certification from the appropriate national certifying agency for the particular APC.
  • Must maintain national certification.
  • Eligible at all times to be insured for professional liability.
  • Current valid and unrestricted license to practice as an APC in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
  • BCLS required through the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS as required for position
