Akron General's Department of Hematology & Oncology is currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Family, Adult or Acute Certified) for a full-time position. This position covers inpatient and outpatient, Hematology and Oncology patients. They will see new consults, established and acute visits, and provide infusion suite coverage.
This position at present does not involve weekend and holiday rotations or on call responsibilities but is subject to change in the future depending on patient needs.
Approximate hours are M-F, 8-5 pm.
Oncology APP Experience is highly preferred, however APPs with extensive Oncology experience as an RN or Advanced Practice Providers with strong internal medicine training will be considered.
Advanced Oncology Certification is expected within the first 2 years of hire and or certification eligibility. 12 Oncology CE per year are required for APPs who are uncertified.

Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
If in neonatal care service area Master’s Degree is required upon hire.

Graduate of an A.R.C. approved Physician Assistant Program.
Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies and/or higher degree obtained from a program recognized by their practicing states Licensing Board.
