Reading Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with an interest in Disease Prevention and Lifestyle Modification Counseling for its Obesity Medicine Program at the Weight Management Center. The Nurse Practitioner will provide care in association with the Medical Bariatricians in the Program and closely collaborate with the Program’s multidisciplinary team, including Registered Dietitians, Behavioral Health Provider and Registered Nurses. The Nurse Practitioner will assist the Weight Management Center physicians in evaluating and treating patients; Perform physical examinations; Make decisions regarding data gathering, appropriate management and treatment of illnesses and conditions; Provide initial evaluations or follow up care of previously diagnosed conditions. The schedule is Monday through Friday (some Saturdays possible) with a variable day-evening schedule.
