ThedaCare, a community-owned, non-profit health system, is seeking an NP/PA to join our team at ThedaCare - Shawano.

Position Highlights:

  • This position offers variety in learning new clinical skills and acute care hospitalist skills.
  • 1.0 FTE
  • 50% Hospital, 50% Clinic
  • 12 physicians and 15 NP/PA's in group
  • This position will have access to physicians and APCs for hospital-based needs and will be partnered with a physician.
  • Every other week will be in the hospital and every other week will be in clinic. (Every other weekend may be required)
  • Will be required to cover hospitalist APC PTO time and will have clinic closed those weeks.
  • Hospitalist shifts are either 6 or 12 hours.
  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License for the state of Wisconsin.
  • New Grad if Acute Care Trained (NP), New Grad PA if has some critical care/ hospitalist clinical experience

Practice Description

ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, with an average daily census of 14 patients, and 2,500 admissions annually. It serves 21,000 emergency patients annually.  In 2015, there were 300 inpatient surgical cases and 2,700 outpatient cases.

In 2015, a new hospital facility was built that combined both the hospital and clinic campus. The Shawano service area includes 35,000 residents of Shawano, Menominee, and Waupaca Counties. In addition to rehabilitation and inpatient services, ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano provides sports medicine services, diagnostic radiology services with CT and MRI, lab services, and sports medicine.
