Job Description

Providence Medical Forensic Program is seeking full-time, Nurse Practitioners to join its new Providence SAFE Center clinic in Portland, Oregon. The first of its kind in Oregon, the Providence SAFE Center clinic will provide comprehensive, trauma-informed care to individuals who have experienced sexual, physical, and/or psychological violence. The Nurse Practitioner in this role will perform physical examinations, collect evidence, administer medications, and provide counseling and/or referrals to appropriate resources. The Providence SAFE Center is a unique outpatient medical forensic clinic working in a collaborative multidisciplinary team that includes forensic nurses and nurse practitioners as well as law enforcement and prosecutors.   • Full-time, 1.0 FTE
  • 10-hours shifts/4-days per week; rotation of weekend coverage required
  • Clinic schedule: 7 days per week; 7:00am to 12:00am
  • Minimum of 2-years’ clinical experience as Nurse Practitioner in an acute and/or ambulatory care setting required; previous experience as Forensic Nurse strongly preferred, though willing to train
  • Required licensure Oregon State Board of Nursing APRN; Board-certified in Family Medicine; Oregon DEA
