This Physician Assistant position is a full-time position for the Division of Vascular Surgery in the Glens Falls and Saratoga, NY area. The APP is a credentialed position required to function in and practice in an expanded capacity. The APP augments the physician's ability to provide inpatient and outpatient surgical consultation, procedures, first assisting in the operating room, diagnostics, and treatment of patients.
- The PA is responsible for assessing and managing vascular surgery patients, including providing new consultation, ordering, and interpreting diagnostic tests, evaluating patients in the postoperative period, and performing clinic-based procedures. The APP will provide evaluation of patients in routine, and urgent follow-up care of their peripheral arterial and venous disease.
- The PA will also be instrumental in continued care after minimally invasive procedures, endovascular therapies, and open surgical arterial/ venous reconstructions.
- The PA will provide intrahospital, clinic and intraoperative procedures.
- Provides comprehensive healthcare, culturally sensitive to the needs of the population, including assessment, diagnosing, prescribing, and referrals where appropriate. The APP works as a member of the multidisciplinary team to provide quality care to the patients of the service.

Job Description/responsibilities:
- This role is a full-time position with on call responsibilities
- Responsibilities extend across the inpatient and outpatient locations
- Provide as needed inpatient and emergency room consultations
- Conduct annual evaluations of established patients, utilizing ultrasound and cross-sectional imaging to provide exceptional follow-up care in an outpatient setting.

Applicants should have the following:
- NYS licensure
- DEA certification
- ACLS/BLS
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Vascular surgery/OR/proficiency with EVH/ERAH preferred
- Graduation from an accredited PA program
- Board Certification
