Mission or Goal of Unit:
The mission of the Consultation-Liaison Division is to improve the mental health of individuals and families through clinical care, research, education and public awareness.
Chief Purpose of this position:
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a neuropsychologist in its C/L Division. The neuropsychologist will provide assessments of, and psychological interventions as applicable. The neuropsychologist will provide graduate and fellowship supervision and training.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Clinical- Conducting neuropsychological assessments and providing therapy to a diverse adult patient population. Providing behavioral interventions, including psychoeducation and/or psychotherapeutic interventions for patients, families and/or caregivers; behavior management; and cognitive behavior therapies. Provides consultation to interdisciplinary treatment teams; collaboration related to patient's cognitive and behavioral strengthsand weaknesses, including development and implementation of interdisciplinary intervention plans .
2. Teaching-Teaching and supervision responsibilities in the area of Neuropsychology. Providing guidance and mentorship to post-doctoral psychology fellows, and opportunities to teach psychiatry residents, fellows, and medical students.
3. Scholarship- Scholarly activities, including program evaluation, research, publications, presentations at national meetings, conference presentations, and participation in appropriate academic organizations.
4. Service - Serving on University, Health System, School of Medicine, and Department of Psychiatry committees, etc. to enhance and promote the service needs and policy making functions of the university, medical center, department, and division.
