  • Department: Family Clinic
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday this position is 90% Clinical and 10% Faculty
  • Hospital: Joshua Max Simon Primary Care Center
  • Location: 8414 Naab Road

 

This position is for a full time psychologist to join our family medicine residency faculty. There will be protected time to teach and to see patients at a multidisciplinary resident based clinic setting.

Responsibilities

Provide therapeutic psychological counseling.


Responsibilities:

  • Assess a patient's psychological status and provide appropriate interventions and treatments.
  • Collaborate with nursing and ancillary service to provide appropriate psychological therapy for patient. Refer patients to other disciplines for consult and evaluations as indicated.
  • Provide psychological expertise and education to multidisciplinary team. Act as resource to other disciplines.
  • Communicate complex/sensitive information to patients and medical team.
  • Administer and interpret psychological tests used for diagnosing mental and personality disorders and differentiating between organic and functional cases of behavior disorders.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Psychologist credentialed from the Indiana Board of Psychology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Psychotherapist preferred.

Education:

  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) required.
