University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center (UM SJMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System has an opening available for a Bone Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team located in Towson, Maryland.

Job Specifics:

  • Seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, who embraces a collaborative approach to patient care.
  • The Bone Health APP will provide direct outpatient evidence-based care and management to patients with osteoporosis and fragility fractures. He/She will provide education and treatment to reduce the risk of future fragility fractures.
  • Create and promote a liaison service to capture fractures inpatient and ensure a referral to the Bone Health Center for future care.
  • Align and collaborate with the University Of Maryland Medical System Bone Health Program.
  • Provider experience is preferred.
  • NPs may have acute care certification or primary care certification.
  • Full-time employee, Monday through Friday

Qualifications

Education

  • Master's Degree (Required)
  • Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Certification / Licensure / Registration

  • Registered Nurse Practitioner (Required)
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Primary Care Certification (Required)

UM St. Joseph Medical Center is a 218 licensed bed, Catholic acute care hospital that observes the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.

Originally called St. Joseph German Hospital, it was founded in 1864 by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia. The organization moved to its current location in Towson, Maryland in 1965.
