Atrium Health Levine Children’s (AHLC) is looking for an experienced FT Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their dynamic Pediatric Sleep Medicine team.  The PNP, FNP, or PA-C will assist the team in providing outpatient care for children while under the supervision of and in collaboration with a licensed physician. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and recurring assessments as needed
  • Records findings of examinations, assessments, and plans of care.
  • Writes appropriate prescriptions, orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations, and determines treatment plan for patients.
  • Documents all patient encounters, observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner in the patient's medical record.
  • Acts as a patient advocate for pediatric patients with various sleep disorders such as insomnia, behavioral insomnia, sleep deprivation, parasomnias, sleep disordered breathing, and hypersomnia.  
  • Attends, participates and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested. 
  • M-F, 8-5, no call, with ability to work remote 1-2 days per week. 
  • Primary office site in South Park area of Charlotte, NC with future opportunities to work in satellite offices. 

 

Education, Experience and Certifications: 

  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina.
  • Prefer that candidate also have an established South Carolina license. 
  • Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
  • Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice required (NP Applicants). 
  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required (PA Applicants).
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred (PA Applicants).
