NP/PA Neurosurgery Nocturnist Opportunity in Greenville, NC

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Neurosurgery and Spine Center are seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join their practice in Greenville, North Carolina. The successful candidate will provide inpatient care at ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed level 1 trauma facility, regional leader for Neurosciences, and eastern North Carolina’s only Comprehensive Stroke Center. New graduates will be considered. Experience candidates are preferred.

 

Highlights include:

  • Employment by ECU Health Physicians
  • Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center
  • 7 on / 7 off schedule, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am, Monday-Sunday
  • Inpatient clinical responsibilities will include consults, first call, rounding, pulling of drains, placement of EVDs, admissions and discharges
  • Established clinical neuroscience team of 10 neurosurgeons, including dual-trained cerebrovascular specialists and 20 + neurologists including an interventional neurologist, 4 vascular neurologists, 4 neurointensivists, 13 subspecialty neurologists, and a large team of inpatient and outpatient advance practice providers
  • ECU Health Medical Center is home to a newly expanded 24-bed NSICU as well as a large rehab center providing both inpatient and outpatient support to neurology patients
  • Dedicated team of NSICU NP/PA’s providing 24/7 coverage
  • Strong investment in technology including Gamma Knife, NeuroBlate, and RAPID
  • Over 1,100 neurosurgical cases performed annually to include complex spine, cerebrovascular surgery and brain tumor resections  
  • Over 1,500 annual admissions with stroke as primary diagnosis  
  • Applicants will be required to have BLS certification from The American Heart Association
