Job Description

Kinwell was founded on the principle of personalized, whole-hearted care for every patient. We believe the best healthcare is a conversation, and one that includes nutrition, fitness, sleep, and behavioral health. Our Clinicians and Clinic Support staff drive real change in their patient’s well-being. Along the way, we are setting a new standard for primary care, making it more accessible, impactful, and holistic.

We are dedicated to building great places to work. We value all teammates and respect a diversity of thought, ideas, and cultures—all focused on the common goal of nurturing the health of those we serve.

Kinwell fosters a culture that promotes employee growth, collaborative innovation, and inspired leadership. We bring agility to work every day and thrive on the opportunity to create something refreshing and new. This is where you come in. If you are looking for a new primary care opportunity, one based on the quality of care, not the quantity of patients, please consider our available positions.

Kinwell is hiring a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our clinic in Mill Creek, Washington.

You will have the opportunity to be fully responsible for the provisioning of comprehensive primary care services within the scope of your license. You will work independently and interdependently with other physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and consultants when appropriate to achieve quality patient care and contract compliance. What you’ll do:

  • Provide a full spectrum of medical care in a primary care setting. Conduct comprehensive assessment of acute and chronic care needs.
  • Be curious in an effort to keep more care in primary care; solve problems, answer questions and spend time in service of learning on behalf of your patients.
  • Assist in the development of a high-functioning care team with the goal that every person, including the Clinician, works at the top of license and scope, developing teammate’s work in alignment with interests, good of the community, and licensure.
  • Complete, timely, and accurate documentation (the foundation of a care plan).
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals either in person, by video, or by telephone in the best interest of the patients.
  • Work with individuals of varying ethnicities, socio-economic levels, culture and sexual orientation.
  • Perform minor outpatient procedures in accordance with Premera credentialing/privileging policy.
  • The PA/NP will work in partnership with clinic physicians and understand when a situation is beyond their scope of knowledge and/or license and requires physician involvement.
  • After-hours care service support provided as part of the on-call program.
  • Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and need for follow-up as appropriate during each patient visit.
  • Verify and document that the patient understands the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring:

  • Currently licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Washington by hire date.
  • Completion of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program at the master’s level, with a national certification from one of the following organizations: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; American Nurses Credentialing Center.

  • Excellent critical thinking, flexibility, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • An interest in community outreach efforts (PR, ambassador to community partners, onboarding/mentoring for new teammates).

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish. (Preferred)
