Overview

CHI Health - Commonspirit is looking for Advanced Practice Provider to Join our Pulmonary-Critical Care team with "eICU"

Open to either APRN or PA-C with appropriate skill set

 

Be part of our highly collaborative team of Pulmonary/Critical Care providers (MD's and APP's)
This is a blended position serving our eICU Service Center with some rotation for Critical Care inpatients

  • Typically (3) 12 hr shifts. Template for days, nights, weekends and holiday rotation
    33% will be day eICU; 33% will be day IP, 33% will be night eICU
  • Evaluate patients, new consults, round on existing IP's
  • Opportunity to become credentialed to perform procedures (arterial lines, intubations, Central Lines at the bedside without physician oversight).
  • IP coverage with Immanuel/Mercy/Lakeside - Rotation those campuses
  • Average IP volume 5-6 pts in morning; 2-3 pts in afternoon
  • No on call
  • Rotational holidays
  • "Service center" is located across from CUMC Bergan campus

 


Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:
    • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
    • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
    • Provide clear and concise medical information.
    • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
    • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
    • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
  • Diagnostic Procedures:
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
    • Perform procedures as needed
    • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
    • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
    • Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
    • Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Compliance:
    • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
    • Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Continuous Learning:
    • Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.
    • Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
    • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
  • A valid and unrestricted state license or license-eligible
  • A valid and unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration

Pay Range
$57.00 - $71.52 /hour
