This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a well established neurosurgery program. The team is looking for someone who is motivated to learn and grow within the neurosurgery field.

Join a Neuroscience Center of Excellence and accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center. Our all-encompassing neurological and endovascular program is led by neurosurgeons dually trained in endovascular interventional procedures; open vascular and skull base; cerebrovascular and endovascular treatment of acute strokes; aneurysms and arteriovenous occlusive vascular disease; and many other neurological conditions. Minimally invasive to complex and reconstruction spine surgeries.

This position will work at the direction of the surgeons to assist in the surgical setting before, during and after surgery. You will provide care, recommendations, testing, surgical assistance and help set up outpatient services related to patient care. Must be able to relate to a vast variety of patients.

Responsibilities

  • Complete preparatory tasks for surgical procedures and provide assistance to physician during such procedures
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care and provide answers to pre-treatment and post-treatment questions
  • Provide consultations and inform patients about treatments, risks and benefits
  • Outpatient office visits and remote clinic travel
  • One late night coverage and 1/5 weekend

Certifications and Licensures

  • AHA approved BLS Certification

Required Education

  • Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
  • Experience preferred, new grads will be considered
