Banner Children’s Specialists (BCS) is seeking a full-time Pediatric Plastic Surgery PA to join our growing program in the Phoenix Metro Area with a pediatric population of 350,000+. We are seeking a candidate to join our growing team performing a wide range of Pediatric Plastic Surgery cases. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate interested in working in a high-volume environment with opportunities for growth. Our Pediatric Plastic Surgery team currently consists of three Pediatric Plastic Surgeons who work closely with other Pediatric Subspecialties such as General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Hematology/Oncology, and Cardiology.

Position Details:

• Monday-Friday 8-5
• Mix of Inpatient, Outpatient, and First Assisting in the OR
• Mix of Plastic Surgery and Craniofacial Cases
• Strong Organizational Support

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year experience required in Pediatrics or Surgical Specialties
• AZ license and DEA or ability to obtain
• NCCPA Certification

Serving a pediatric population of 350,000+, Banner Children’s at Desert (BDMC) in Glendale is a state-of-the-art, 206-bed children’s hospital that was opened in November 2009. Banner Children's at Desert was designed “Through the Eyes of a Child,” meaning it has all the comforts of home and does not feel institutional. The hospital is meant to inspire healing, learning and imagination. Our Child Life professionals play an active role in ensuring children feel safe and prepared for the hospital experience. Highly trained physician specialists, social services staff and numerous integrative therapy programs ensure a complete range of care for children. Banner Children's at Desert Medical Center features 248 beds, specially trained nurses and doctors and family-centered care as well as an expanded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – from 65 beds to 86 beds.

• An expanded Pediatric Emergency Department, increasing from 15 to 26 beds.
• Outpatient Treatment Center includes 16 beds that can serve as overflow for Emergency Department during peak evening hours.
