Norwich Walk In Clinic/Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Our walk in clinic is new, state-of-the-art at Chenango Memorial Hospital attached to the Emergency Department.

Doors opened November 1, 2021 in this facility that shares a wall into the Emergency Department (10 beds - private rooms).

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full time position working every other Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 

The Clinic is open Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 

This walk in clinic will be a fast track path for patients with none ER illness, injury, etc.  i.e. sore throat, bladder infection, etc.

Provides primary care to patients, collaborating with and under the direction of physicians in the clinic, following established standards and practices. Helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. Educates patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. Conducts physicals, orders tests and serves as a patient’s primary healthcare provider.

Must be board certified and able to be licensed in the state of New York.

Teaching opportunities are available with the UHS Family Practice and Internal Medicine residents, Endocrinology, Geriatrics and Sports Medicine fellows, transitional year students, as well as 3rd and 4th year medical students on rotation from Upstate Medical University.
